The series is set in New York, dealing with the lives of high profile people. Patty Hewes, a world class lawyer on one side and the all powerful Arthur Frobisher on the other. The series opens with the murder of David, fiancé of Ellen Parsons and also all charges going up against her. In the backdrop, we are informed that, Ellen Parsons have been working for Hewes. She was also involved in one of the major cases of the firm, against billionaire Frobisher, as he was accused of lying to his employees and leaving them all ruined. As and when they start getting deeply involved with the case, they realize that there is much more to it, which is affecting their personal lives too. Soon the fight is just not legal, and both the sides will get down to anything, in fact cross any line to win the case.
By the end of the first season, the audiences are given a few unanswered questions. Ellen is freed from all the charges of David’s murder and true murderer is revealed, but just to the audiences. Frobisher’s fate is also left in undecided as he was shot.
In all the first season was shot beautifully, with lot of time shifts. A lot of flashbacks and flash forwards have been used making the whole story look more thrilling. The first season of the legal series has stood up to the mark and everyone is waiting for the second season.
