In the Season 2 Episode 7, the policeman recognized by Katie is found dead, crushing her hopes of finding David’s killer at last. She gets another shock when she learns that their new client in their lawsuit against UNR is none other than Arthur Frobisher. Later she sees Uncle Pete coming out of her office when she stays back to work late, one day. This gives Ellen an idea and she tells the FBI that they can bring down Patty, by using Uncle Pete’s against her. The FBI, which is already interested in the activities of Uncle Pete, put him under arrest. Uncle Pete has had a long criminal record during which he performed various petty offences, but he seemingly has left that long time ago when he started working for Patty about twenty years ago. As the FBI give him the option of choosing between providing information about Patty or going to the prison, leaving his ailing wife alone to fend for herself, he finds himself in an emotional dilemma as he is the real uncle of Patty and dearly loves her. Later, he agrees to FBI’s proposal of providing information about Patty, but is actually planning to get himself out of this messy situation.
