Damages Episodes : I Agree It Wasn’t Funny
In the Season 2 Episode 5, after facing humiliation in open court, Patty decides to get even with Walter Kendrick and UNR. Pursuing the same goal, she tries to stop the merger of UNR, and is successful in delaying the merger by showing Daniel’s original report to the environmental officer. Meanwhile, Ellen contemplates going to Patty’s apartment for a party to celebrate Tom’s 10th anniversary with the firm. The FBI handlers ask her to go but only after wearing a wire. As Ellen makes her way towards the apartment for the first time after the attempt on her life, she informs the FBI that she is being followed. At the party, Patty has an argument with Michael, as he is writing about his father, Daniel in his college application essay. Also, Patty’s, husband Phil points out to her that in Ultima’s proposed merger, Ultima is actually paying much more for the acquisition, which makes her suspect that Ultima is actually after something else. She is also warned about Ellen by Uncle Pete who brings in more information about the infant mortality case.
In the alternate timeline, Wes orders someone who has connections with the killer of Ellen’s fiancée, to follow her and later meets her himself.
