Emmy award ceremony which is held every year is a special event but for a crime drama series, “Damages”, to win an award every time an Emmy award ceremony is organized must be even more special. Glenn Close, who has portrayed the character of Patty Hewes, the protagonist of the show won the Emmy award in the category of Best Actress in a Drama Series. What’s even more great to know is that ,Ċ½eljko Ivanek, who has enacted the character of Ray Fiske, in this show now has doubled this delight, as he has won “The Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series”, two years in succession.
The fantastic star cast of Damages already has a strong connection with Emmys as many of its actors had won this prestigious trophy during the Emmy award ceremony of 2008. The show already has won one Golden Globe Award. It speaks volumes of the impact the show has left on critics and the general public.
Damages TV show has achieved considerable fame within just two seasons of its airing. It has already been renewed for a third season immediately after the finale of its second season was aired. Such has been the talent of the star cast involved in this show that they were signed up for six successive seasons of Damages. It won’t take long that number of awards this show is going to win is going to increase by leaps and bounds. I have loved Damages right from the first episode of its first season till the finale of its second season. Third season is definitely going to bring with it new ideas and thoughts. Damages is definitely on the way to become one of the best television shows ever.
