Well, after several months’ wait, we’ll catch our favorite TV drama ‘Damages’ in the beginning of 2009 with second season. Last summer, first season of series unfolded the things just like an addictive thriller novel. 13 episodes were aired during the first season and when it came to an end, things were satisfactory and I loved the season finale ‘Because I Know Patty’. But as of now, exactly one year later, fans are dying to know what’d be next? Just few months are left for ‘Damages’ to debut its second season and we’re still in dark without any information about the upcoming episodes. Yeah, one thing is here which I am sure about. William Hurt will appear in the second season of ‘Damages’. He’ll play Daniel Purcell and will enter in Patty’s life in the first episode of series. We’ll see that he’s in some trouble and he visits Patty to have some legal assistance. Another addition to the second season of ‘Damages’ is Marcia Gay Harden. She’ll be playing a high powered attorney for a company in the second season. Ted Danson would also be back as Arthur Frobisher.

The most recent addition to the star cast of “Damages” is Marica Gay Harden. Harden will play the role of a powerful attorney in opposition to Hewes in the second season. Harden has won an Oscar for best actress in supporting role in “Pollock” in 2000. She has also won an Emmy award for her guest role in “Law and Order”. Harden has also worked in movies like “Flubber”, a sci-fi comedy, “Meet Joe Black” and “Mystic River”.

The series is due to return in early 2009, with two more new actors joining up in the second season. Along with Harden, Timothy Olyphant and William Hurt will also join the “Damages” team.

“Damages” star Ted Danson has always been in news for his role in the sitcom “Cheers” and for his nomination in the Emmy awards for eleven straight years for the same. Out of eleven nominations he managed to win two of these. This time he is in news for his nomination in Emmy awards, for his brand new role of Forbisher in “Damages”.

Danson was all excited about his role in “Damages” as it was complete reversal from his role of Cheers, where he played a former baseball player and recovering alcoholic. In “Damages” he portrays a serious, dishonest client. He says that he has really enjoyed his role in “Damages” as the role was very demanding and he had to undertake lot of challenges. All in all he says that he had a very enriching experience as an actor and that he was proud to be a part of the series. The second season of the series will soon be aired.

Well as we all know that everyone is desperately waiting for the second season. Here’s something to ease your wait.

The second season will be as thrilling and exciting as the first one with more of suspense and killing involved. A few characters like Academy award winner William Hurt and “Deadwood” star Timothy Olyphant will also star along with the main lead.

As Frobisher fate was left undecided in the last episode of season 1, for the audiences to think what will happen to him. Will he manage to survive? Then yes, he will make a comeback in the second season and fight his side from hospital bed. Despite the loss of his health, he has also lost his family, as his wife and kids will not be on his side anymore. On the other side Parsons will return all the more powerful as she struggles with her past. As for Patty, she will return with the same attitude and her motive will be to return to work and shatter all the rumors regarding her work.

As the series has just completed its first season, it has already been announced that the series will have two more seasons. The three seasons in all will have 39 episodes in all, each season having thirteen episodes to its share.

The shooting for the second season has started in June 2008. The second season is scheduled to air somewhere around early 2009, as no exact dates have been mentioned. So the fans will have to wait for the details. Along with the regular cast William Hurt and Timothy Olyphant will also be seen in this series. Ellen character will be in highlight as she will be working undercover for the FBI, to track down Patty and her family will also be brought under limelight.

As for the third season no details have released yet, except that it will have thirteen episodes in it. But yes it is very delighting news for viewers that their favorite series will entertain them for coming two years.
